Role: Business Development Manager - We are looking for a proven software sales / financial sales person to join the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team. In this role, you will play a key part in driving our growth by identifying and engaging potential software companies for acquisition. You will work collaboratively with senior leadership and portfolio managers to expand the portfolio of vertical market software businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Outbound Sales & Lead Generation:
    • Develop and execute outbound sales strategies to identify potential software businesses for acquisition.
    • Proactively reach out to software company owners and executives through calls, emails, and networking events.
  • Market Research & Analysis:
    • Research target markets to identify potential acquisition opportunities.
    • Analyze industry trends and build a pipeline of qualified leads aligned with CSI’s acquisition strategy.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Build and nurture relationships with software business owners, decision-makers, and stakeholders.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact during the initial stages of the acquisition process.
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
    • Collaborate with internal teams to assess the financial and strategic fit of potential acquisitions.
    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on sales activities, lead pipelines, and market insights.
Qualifications:
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or M&A, preferably in the software or technology sector.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in outbound sales or business development roles.
  • Strong understanding of software industry dynamics and M&A processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage C-suite executives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess potential acquisition opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a proactive approach to lead generation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
