About the role: Sales Executive/Negotiator
- Think of this as a sales role flipped on its head – the scope of responsibilities will focus on 2 key areas: sales + negotiation
- Sales responsibilities;
- You will be working with an existing client base – no cold calling or business development required
- The goal of this role will be to negotiate existing contracts with the clients’ suppliers to negotiate more favourable terms that will reduce cost + optimize spend
- Supplier contracts will expand across multiple lines of business including software, telecom, logistics, security, transportation, etc.
- You’ll have clearly defined cost savings target for each client with uncapped commission potential based on the overall cost reduction you’re able to achieve and work with a select group of c-suite stakeholders that you report updates to
- The clients you’ll be working with will be;
- Fortune 500 companies within the Manufacturing, CPG, Financial Services, Software, Aerospace, Energy, Packaging, and media industry
- $5B-$20B in annual revenue
- 5000+ employees
- Negotiation responsibilities;
- Work alongside a team of analysts and auditors who help review existing contracts with suppliers to identify highest cost savings opportunities and prioritize outreach
- Lead all negotiation calls in a highly persuasive manner and be comfortable with demanding more
- Effectively leverage power and authority when leading discussions around what you need to see from the supplier
- This role offers complete remote flexibility to work from anywhere, but will require you to work EST hours an ideally easy access to the GTA for occasional team meetups.
We are looking for someone who…
- LOVES the art of negotiating and would be voted as the most persuasive in your friend group
- Doesn’t shy away from uncomfortable situations where you have to demand more favourable agreement terms and can stand your ground
- Has 5+ years of B2B sales experience
- Can effectively leverage power and authority when leading negotiations
- Has exceptional business acumen and is passionate about all things business related
- Is adept at working in early-stage working environments that require discipline and a self-starter attitude
Compensation:
- $140K-$150K total income including a strong base salary and uncapped commission
- Average Year 2-3 earnings range from $200K-$250K
