As part of continued growth and enhancements to the commercial lending business, they are seeking a player-coach to join them as a Director, Commercial Lending in the Regina region. This individual will manage a small team as well as their own portfolio of commercial clients throughout southern Saskatchewan.
The Role: Director, Commercial Lending (Southern Saskatchewan)
- Lead and manage a small team of commercial lenders to ensure excellent customer service and portfolio management.
- Develop and grow profitable relationships with new and existing (primarily non-Indigenous) customers.
- Drive asset growth and profitability while expanding commercial business in Southern Saskatchewan.
- Assess, negotiate, and present high-quality credit proposals with strong risk and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, including credit portfolio management, security, and reporting procedures.
The Ideal Candidate
- A minimum of 5 years of commercial lending experience, including risk assessment, financial analysis, and credit structuring/solutions.
- A minimum of 2-3 years in a leadership role; demonstrated abilities to manage, coach, and motivate team members.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- A diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent.
- Strong preference will be given to candidates with personal or professional experience with Indigenous communities or populations.
What They Offer (based on experience level)
- Compensation: $100K – $120K salary + 10% bonus
- Paid time off: 4 – 6 weeks
- Hybrid work: Spend a couple of days per week in the branch while working from home or with clients throughout the rest of the week.
