My first job in sales was a true adventure. At only 18 years old I had jumped on a plane by myself and moved to Mexico. I had envisioned my life in Mexico to only cost a few dollars a day but that dream quickly ended and reality set in. My savings most certainly wouldn’t last the five months I had hoped they would. I found out about timeshare sales from a neighbour and landed the job the following day. It was very exciting for me to take clients through our beautiful show suites and chat with them about what a fantastic place we were in. I was able to make enough money to fund an extra four months of travel in Central America and I got a crash course in sales. I was the top sales person in my first month, which gave me my first taste of sales success!
